The 69F is a technologically advanced sailing boat, which fulfills every sailor's dream - Foiling, the experience of flying on the water! Together with activities such as musical shows, sustainability and inclusion talks, the days were always full of information and highly educational. In the first few days from the 1st to 8th July the Teams got to know the 69F and how to handle this boat on the water. The 10 countries competing against each other at the Circolo Vela Gargnano are Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Slovenia and Spain. The EDC is a special Erasmus+ Sports Program with focus on sailing and foiling integrated with activities and seminars about sustainability, inclusion and digitalization. The Project is held from 1st to 15th July, where 60 young and passionate sailors, aged 13 to 18 years, of 10 different European countries are learning to foil on the 69F class and competing against each other from 8th to 14th July 2023. The first ever European Dream Cup takes place in Gargnano, Lake Garda, Italy. Gargnano (Lake Garda, Italy), 10th July 2023 Unleashing the spirit of Sailing: Sail Fast and Fly!ġ0 Teams of young and fiery sailors are racing the foiling 69F class After a long evaluation, the winners are the guys of Team Austria, and here you can find their almost unedited press release.ĭear colleagues, please keep in mind the authors are sailors aged 13 to 18 year old! The teams were given general guidelines and they came up with such inspiring pieces of work that is was hard to put them in a ranking. The final ranking will also consider the points that the 10 teams, with 6 athletes each, will have accumulated by doing their best at the side activities, such as the Beach Clean-Up, the Kahoot tests after the seminaries and various other tasks, one of these included the writing of a professional press release. On Friday evening we will know the winner of the very first European Dream Cup. Racing started on Saturday and tomorrow evening the teams will be divided into Gold and Silver fleet, based on their results during the qualifications rounds, to then access the Finals, on Thursday and Friday. Stand on the bridge and cast there and you will get bass. The European Dream Cup is getting more and more into the regatta around which the other events of the projects are planned. Last night i caught several grass pickrel and catfish by casting out into the middle of the lake. Speaking of bugs/stranges things i have noticed that if you stand just off of the bridge on Lone star lake but cast in the same area as bass you will get everthing but a bass. Lately the weather has been miserable so it's just easier/warmer to just play this lol. If i wanted to go fish IRL i would walk out the door pick my gear up and be on the lake in 5 mins. I wasn't sure if bugs were a huge problem still. That's the main reason i am wanting to buy one. Not sure if this happens to anyone but for some reason I find my bite rates decreasing going to the spot where I cast on land? From my experiences a kayak isn't really needed since most of the hot spots you can reach on land therefore you credits are probably better going to equipment. Until that happens (with your cash), you are probably better off using your available money and time farming the well-known/high-return spots accessible from the bank. One would assume that eventually, the Devs are going to release a LARGE lake that has better fishing spots ONLY accessible via Kayak. They are more a novelty and for fun and you won't find even ONE SINGLE PLACE where you can fish from that Kayaks (that you CAN'T get to from the bank) which will help you catch bigger or more fish. Time that might be better spent with your lure/bait in the water actually CATCHING FISH and earning more money from the bank.Īs it currently stands, using the kayaks isn't going to help you make MORE money. In other words, you'll be wasting LOTS of time messing with the kayak. Couple that with the fact that bigger fish have a tendency to pull you around and you'll spend lots of time you could be fishing getting your kayak back in the right position. Not to mention the fact it takes FOREVER to get anywhere using them. The kayaks take some time getting used to. If your cash reserves are such that you sre even DEBATING about whether or not to spend $35K, I would honestly advise you to skip the kayak and use that money to upgrade your equipment and for travel/license expenses.
